After a week of weather that could only be described as very ordinary and not much fun for cycling, Harcourt turned on a perfect day for the Metro Road Championships on Sunday May 17th.
A Huge contingent from Blackburn across virtually all categories was in attendance with 23 riders making the trip to Harcourt.

Congratulations to the placegetters, and well done to all riders.
A special mention must be made of Doris who may have been the only rider in her category but she hung on with the Elite Women and finished in 4th place overall only a minute behind the Elite Women's winner.
Unfortunately Godfrey suffered a puncture with about 10km to go and recorded a rare DNF.
Special thanks to Daryl Perkins for making the trip to add his coaching expertise and to Richard Stringer for transporting the club tent to provide some shade and bringing 'Bear' the faithful mascot for the day.
